Registering at Digital Grin.


First, visit Digital Grin: www.dgrin.com.

Click on 'register', in the top-left corner.

Read the forum rules carefully, and when you are done and agree with them mark the box in the bottom-left corner.

then click on the 'register' button.

Enter a user-name in the first field. This will be the name that you will use to post your messages, and the name that you use to log in.

Enter a password in the next box, and confirm it in the following.

Then, enter an email address that you want associated with your account. You will receive a confirmation email at this address. It will contain a link that you need to click to activate your account, so make sure that you enter the correct address.

After you have done that, click on 'complete registration'.

You will receive an email at the at the address that you entered earlier. Click on the link provided in that email address.

(If you do not receive an email from us, check your spam-folder. If it's not in there either, please use the 'contact us' link all the way at the bottom of the screen)

You are not ready for posting yet! One of the forum administrators will have to approve your application, as a precaution against spam. This typically happens within the hour, although occasionally it can take longer.

You will receive a confirmation message from us when we have approved you.

Posting a New Thread:

After you have received a confirmation from us, you can post in all forums!

Let's say you want to post a request in the 'SmugMug Customization' forum.

Click on the forum, found on the main page.

This will take you to the 'SmugMug Customization' forum.

When you want to create a new thread, click on the button 'new thread'.

You will be taken to a page where you can enter the title of the thread, and your question.

If you are asking for help (on customization) please be as specific as possible with your request, and let us know what your website is. This will help us to help you.

After you have entered your message click the Preview button and you can view your message above. You also see how your embedded photo displays. However, attachments will not display.

When you are done, click on 'Submit new thread'.

After you have done that, you will be taken to your new thread.

If you want to create a new post/reply in that thread, click on the button 'reply' below the last post.
